Restoring London's Georgian, Victorian & Edwardian Buildings
London's period housing spans several distinct building traditions rather than one uniform style: Georgian terraces and squares, Victorian villas and mansion blocks, Edwardian conversions, and pockets of much older timber-framed and vernacular building fabric surviving within later streetscapes. Each of these was built with materials suited to its era, lime render and plaster, solid brick or stone walls, timber sash windows, and each responds badly to modern repairs (cement render, gypsum plaster, sealed double glazing) applied without regard for how the building actually works. We carry out heritage restoration and full refurbishment across the capital, working within whichever borough's specific conservation area and listed building consent requirements apply, from a single sympathetic repair to a complete top-to-bottom restoration.
