About Us
Heritage restoration and construction, delivered as one team.
Lime Heritage Restorations is a heritage restoration and construction company working across London and the Home Counties. We specialise in the traditional lime-based trades that period and listed buildings need to be repaired correctly, and we pair that specialist knowledge with full construction capability, so a single point of contact can take a project from a lime repair through to a complete house refurbishment.
Heritage Restoration and Construction, Done Properly.

Heritage Restoration and Construction, Together.
Lime Heritage Restorations brings specialist heritage trades and general construction together under one roof. Our team understands how solid walled, pre-1919 buildings actually work, so repairs use lime rather than cement or gypsum wherever the wall needs to breathe, protecting original fabric rather than trapping moisture behind it. Alongside that specialist knowledge, we carry out the full range of construction work a period property project needs, from structural surveys and rewiring to bathroom and kitchen fitting, so clients are not left coordinating separate heritage and construction contractors themselves.
Our services span both trades. On the heritage side, that means lime plastering and rendering, lime pointing, lime washing and lime grouting, along with heritage stone conservation and heritage timber and bespoke joinery for staircases, windows and period joinery. On the construction side, we carry out structural surveys with engineer coordination, full rewiring and plumbing, luxury bathroom and kitchen fitting, and party wall and planning liaison, so the practical construction elements of a project are handled by the same team managing the heritage work.
Lime Heritage Restorations is based in London and works across the capital and the Home Counties. We regularly carry out heritage restoration and construction projects in Chelsea, Kensington and Notting Hill, Wimbledon, Richmond upon Thames, Greenwich, Hampstead and Highgate, and more widely across London, alongside period properties in Surrey, Kent and Hertfordshire. Whether a project sits within a conservation area, is individually listed, or is a later extension built onto an older structure, we bring the right combination of heritage expertise and construction capability to it.
We also carry out full house heritage refurbishment, taking a period or listed property through a complete, coordinated renovation rather than a series of disconnected trades. Our damp and moisture management work identifies the actual cause of damp before specifying a repair, since treating trapped moisture as if it were rising damp rarely solves the problem. And our conservation and restoration service covers the more delicate repair work a heritage building needs, from decorative plasterwork to structural timber, carried out by tradespeople experienced with historic materials rather than modern retrofit crews unfamiliar with how older buildings behave.
As experts in damp-proofing systems, we employ breathable tanking slurry in tandem with two coats of rendering plaster, effectively addressing moisture-related challenges and contributing to the overall longevity of buildings.
Finally, our conservation and restoration services bring architectural treasures to life, from delicate repairs to comprehensive restoration efforts, preserving the cultural legacy of architectural heritage. At Lime Heritage Restorations, our array of services embodies a holistic approach, where expertise, tradition, and innovation converge to ensure the enduring beauty and functionality of diverse architectural structures.
